Love on first spray: Mizensir Très Chère

When I sprayed Très Chère by Mizensir, I immediately enjoyed it without being able to explain why. Is that even a fragrance description? Is it floral, is it sweet, or is it just a blend of who knows what, done very well. It was beautiful.

My first day trying this, I just did a quick spritz on my key pulse points. Which was fine. I smelled good, but I wanted more. I wanted to thoroughly enjoy the fragrance throughout the day, and perhaps force others to do the same. The next day at around 7 AM, I sprayed more heavily with two spritzes at each point. And then I worried I may have gone too far. I went ahead and lightly spritzed this on my wrists and chest. Then as I walked up to register at Chick Fil A to place my order at about 9AM, the cashier began taking my order and then stopped. “I have to say, you smell really good. Like really good.” Success.

Très Chère Eau de parfum

Top: Orange Tree Blossom Extract

Mid: Ambrox®, Paradisone®, Jasmine Sambac

Base: Bourbon Vanilla Absolute, Exaltone®, Australian Sandalwood Essential Oil

In the copy on the product page, the brand describes the fragrance as a “poetic love letter in a bottle.” Alberto Morillas, the nose behind this, describes a chance encounter with a stranger as the inspiration. A lasting impression of beauty and grace that forever stayed with him. I can’t help but think, given the longevity and scent trail that he was spot on in his interpretation of the experience. I was still able to smell it on my wrist in the evening and longed to wear it again.

I had long believed that orange blossom just didn’t work on my skin. So, if you do or don’t like the note, I recommend you give this a try to either confirm or challenge your feelings about it. Personally, I am considering adding this to my collection.

As always, let me know what you think. Have you tried this or any other scents from the brand?
