Worth it

I did something drastic. Something that doesn’t make sense. Something foolish. Something that I needed to do a long time ago. I paid for Sakara Life’s Summer Program. It was stupid expensive, but also perhaps exactly what I needed. It was a way of affirming a truth:

I am worth the sacrifice.

I was tired of just waiting for someone else to swoop in to save me. I could no longer sit by for a mystical mysterious cure to finally arrive. I spent so much of my life waiting for others to do for me, to make a realization about me. Now, it was time for me to do it. I needed to be the one to declare my value. I needed to make the sweeping romantic gesture, but for myself.

I need to use my actions to declare “I value you, and I will do what it takes to make sure you are well. Sometimes it may seem ridiculous to others, but it is worth it. Mostly because I am.

I have a value that should be honored. I will honor my own value, doing whatever it takes.
