Cartier Declaration Haute Fraîcheur is a fragrance I want to keep wearing

Previously I was testing fragrances while sick, which is a horrible idea. After getting a sample of Declaration Haute Fraîcheur from Cartier, I decided to spray some on before going to work. (For the record, I don’t recommend you do that.) A few spritzes on my wrists and I remarked, “Dang it! It just smells nice.” And then, “Oh wait a minute, what is that? I want more of that on me.”

Cartier Declaration Haute Fraîcheur Eau de Toilette

$108 for 100 mL

Notes: Cardamom, cedarwood, citrus tree

This is a flanker to Declaration, in an iteration meant to be fresher and more botanical, and yet woody and spicy. It wasn’t until I went to look up the fragrance notes that I had any inkling this was a male marketed fragrance. Even still, I feel like it is unisex. Well, I mean I want to keep wearing it myself as a woman.

It is fresh and clean with a green herbal nature that makes it more interesting than that just fresh from the shower type “clean” smell. I just smelled put together, even while wearing a sweatsuit. Although, I could see myself wearing this confidently to meet for a business lunch with a crisp white shirt and ready to close a hypothetical deal. I just give off the air of “I know my value” without beating you into submission with the smell of it.

Oh man I really liked this. If you like a combination of clean/crisp/woody, give it a try. And if you do, let me know what you think, especially if you had the chance to smell the original Declaration.
