Is this a PR crisis for FIFA?

If I were Gianni Infantino, I’d think I had a crisis on my hands. I would be highly cognizant that there are cries around the world calling be corrupt. As the leader of FIFA, I would see that as a problem that takes away trust in our ability to steward the world’s game. But I am not him, and there appears to be no problem. Other than assuring people that the mandatory hydration breaks in the 2026 FIFA World Cup are about player safety and have nothing to do with advertising revenue.

I’m not saying with certainty that FIFA is or isn’t corrupt. But this is my question, if your organizations has been labeled as corrupt for decades, is seeming evidence in support of your corruption a PR crisis?

A crisis occurs when it threatens your reputation. If this is already your reputation, then this isn’t a crisis.

What are your thoughts? Does FIFA have a PR crisis on its hands, or is it just consistency?
