I finally looked at my Uber summary.

I finally opened up my Uber year end summary, their Youber. I was right. This was not the “wrapped” that I wanted. Instead of being excited to share, I was left questioning my life choices and UberEats deliveries.

It seems I’m not the only who feels this way. In great timing, SNL dropped a sketch just about this.

In truth, the feature was released December 15. This skit aired the Saturday prior. Unfortunately, the timing makes it look like the brand is trying to ride the publicity that would have come from the skit. However, it is highly unlikely that they would have pulled this all together over a weekend.

The brand posted to Instagram that this is something that users have been asking for for years. I was definitely not one of them. I still think that this wasn’t the best trend for Uber to jump on, but maybe I’m wrong. Or maybe not since there seems to be many who agree with that sentiment. We’ll see how this plays out and whether or not Uber rolls this out again in 2027.
