Angel Reese has a brand new deal

She was all over your TV during the historic  women’s NCAA tournament. She’s a standout athlete in the WNBA. Her outfits are all over your feed. And now Angel Reese is expanding to your breakfast table and your closet.

She’s got a deal with Reese’s for Reese’s Puffs cereal. That seems obvious. And now Juicy Couture, fronting their new fragrance and clothing collection, that one is new to me. How did that come about?

Beyond all the credit to Reese, her personality, style and her team is owed for making this happen, there is a key detail. It’s that we are starting to change how we view female athletes. Sport consumers and the country at large is viewing them as more full packages. Being an athlete is just one part of their persona. A super pink, girly velour track suit is just another facet of. She can be stylish, feminine, and athletically gifted without being forced to choose, whereas female athletes in the past had to.

But getting back on topic, I am interested in how collaborating with Reese will shape Juicy Couture’s growth trajectory. Will it help them capitalize on the 2000s trend? Or will she help them bring something new and specific to this time?
