For years, we have been collectively chasing trends. Strawberry girl, quiet luxury, old money, dolphin skin, corporate baddie, just to name a few. At the business level, executives were perched watching, hoping to catch them all. The trends were popular, they moved product, but were they what the people really wanted?
Instead of constantly chasing the social media algorithm and trying to get ahead of the curves, how can we meet people where they are now? With the needs that they have right now? With authenticity, and the freedom to really, deeply listen.
When you close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow your inner thoughts to speak, what is it that you want? What inspires you? What are you craving? What desires to you want to fulfill? What is it that you wish brands, retailers, manufacturers, and all businesses knew? If they really knew what you wanted, what would they create?
