With low expectations, I sprayed on Dolce&Gabbana Devotion for Women eau de parfum. “Oh, that’s actually nice.” How disrespectful of me. Something about the extravagant bottle made me think it would be overpowering and sickening. Maybe I should have assumed I’d like it, given its key notes are things I tend to like. Add orange blossom to a fragrance and I’m apt to give it a second sniff. The combination with vanilla and candied citrus leads to something that smells feminine and slightly sweet.

Dolce&Gabbana Devotion for Women Eau de Parfum
$179 for 100 mL
Key Notes: Candied citrus, orange blossom, vanilla
I sprayed the fragrance on at 6 PM to head out to the event. The following morning, I woke up to find it still lingering on my wrists. I’d say it has pretty good staying power. The projection is a different story.
To be fair, I did spray this fairly as I was going to be out and about around people I didn’t know. That could be why no one seemed to notice my scent. But also, it takes a fairly gregarious person to tell a stranger about her scent.
I like this much more than I thought I would. It’s slightly sweet and feminine, without turning bitter or smelling artificial. Now I have to decide if I would consider getting a full size. Perhaps I might, but maybe I would spring for the body cream instead.
If you are looking to try a sweeter, feminine offering from Dolce&Gabbana, give Devotion for Women eau de parfum a try. And if you like coffee scents, I suggest you try Devotion for Men eau de parfum.
