I applied makeup and put on an outfit (if you could call it that). As I chose the fragrance for the day, I landed on Good Girl by Carolina Herrera.
The scent is strongly feminine. I must say that on first spray, I immediately thought of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison because of the almond note. But smelling them side to side, Good Girl is much more floral and projects less than the Dior classic. Over time, it starts to mellow and sweeten.

Because it’s not a classically recognized scent that just smells sweet and mass appealing (like a vanilla), I thought twice about wearing it in public. I was worried what others would think of the fragrance. That lasted about a minute, and I wore it anyway. Besides, I found that no one seemed to notice or comment on the scent throughout the day. I barely noticed, even though I could smell it on my skin several hours later.
It’s a nice fragrance, but would I wear it again?
Over the past couple of days, I wore this out to just regular life events. But I don’t know if this scent profile is calling to me. And now especially as I it on my wrists along with Hypnotic Poison, Dior is winning the projection battle for those times I want an almond note and to stand out. There are also other flankers to the Good Girl line that I would probably try before I chose to buy this. And don’t get me started on the bottle design. I don’t dislike the fragrance, maybe it just isn’t me in this phase of my life and that’s okay.
But if you want an almond fragrance that doesn’t project too much, and you want a boldly feminine presentation, try Good Girl by Carolina Herrera.
