I wanted to wear something feminine, there was something about that day that just called for something pretty. Why not Holy Peony from the Christian Dior La Privée Collection? It is floral, slightly sweet, and ever so slightly fruity. It was exactly the kind of scent for the mood I was in.

Wearing it again today, I can still smell it on my wrist some 6 hours later. However, in the days previous, I didn’t notice it on myself throughout the day. Maybe it comes down to how much I put on or however my body chemistry chose to behave. I got no compliments throughout the day. And yet, it brings a smile to my face each time I notice the fragrance.
As we creep closer to fall weather here in the States, this seems like a perfect in-between scent. It is not so cloying as to be unbearable on that few days when the temperatures creep back up for those last hot days of summer. And yet, it’s close to the body nature makes it seem perfect for cozy close quarters of sweater weather.
The more I smell this fragrance on myself, the more I want to smell it on myself. I wish this scent were offered in the moisturizing lotion and scented soaps. I can see myself returning to Holy Peony every now again, when I just want a touch of floral, to bring a bit of brightness to my day.
