Impressions of Glossier You Fleur

A little sweet, a lot floral, and definitely reminding me of summer. That is Glossier You Fleur, the newest launch from the brand. Perhaps, it’s shaping up to be a favorite for me of the line.

This is my kind of floral, soft and sweet. On the opening I got a fruity vibe that made me think of coconut. But my nose was deceived. It’s actually a mineral salt accord and peach.

I spritzed this on, one spray each on my wrists and chest. I forgot about it throughout the day. No one at the meetings, stores, or other places I visited seemed to notice. It seemed to have faded down fairly quickly on my skin. In just two hours, I was down to the base of the fragrance. It sits close to skin and is just that ambery essence.

One thing I noticed, an important note for me to continue to observe, is how it smells on my skin when I start to heat up or sweat. My wrist smelled un-ideal post fitness class where I was actively moving. It didn’t increase in projection but smelled sharper. That could have been a fluke, but it is something for me to be aware of because it might not mix well with the chemistry of my sweat. Maybe that means it won’t be a good summer scent for me.

As I’m thinking about this scent in comparison to the whole line, I think I may still prefer the original You, but this is making it’s way into my mind. Hopefully I can smell the Soie that was released earlier this year and compare the entire line.

If you haven’t tried any of the Glossier scents a try, head into a store and try for yourself. Smell all the offerings, but start with Fleur if you want a soft, fruity floral. And then, let me know your thoughts.
