In honor of international women’s day, here are some female-founded skincare brands and my favorite products I’ve tried from them.

  • My favorite product: Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist
  • Price: $21 for 50 mL
  • Why I love it: This superfine mist gives me an easy hydration boost throughout the day, and it’s travel friendly.
• Florence by Mills
  • Founder: Milly Bobbie Brown
  • My favorite product: Swimming Under Eyes Brightening Gel Pads
  • Price: $36 for 60
  • Why I love it: These undereye masks are adorable and leave my under eyes feeling and looking hydrated.
• Glow Recipe
  • Founders: Christine Chang and Sara Lee
  • My favorite product:  Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops
  • Price: $36 for 40 mL,
  • Why I love it- The watermelon scented serum made my skin look dewy and was a great hydrating primer for my light makeup looks.

  • Why I love it- It’s a hydrating sunscreen/moisturizer hybrid that I keep returning to that handles my daily suncare needs.

  • My favorite product:  Base Face Milk
  • Price: $58 for 100 mL
  • Why I love it: It provides a hit of hydration, like a little serum to give my other moisturizers an extra boost. It’s like a hydrating serum giving me the boost I need to combat dry skin.

  • My favorite product: Water-Lock Moisturizer
  • Price: $72 for 50 mL, $62 for refill
  • Why I love it- The gentle AHAs helped even my skin texture and tone. I never had more compliments on my skin than when I was using this moisturizer.
• Chantecaille

  • My favorite product: Pure Rosewater
  • Price: $88 for 100 mL
  • Why I love it: This uplifting spray is the perfect way to wake up my skin in the morning or finish my skincare routine before bed.
• Dr. Barbara Sturm
  • Founder: Dr. Barbara Sturm
  • My favorite product: Hyaluronic Serum
  • Price: $110 for 10 mL
  • Why I love it- Truthfully, my favorite product was the Anti-Pollution Drops which is no longer on the site. It was essentially a hyaluronic acid serum plus other ingredients. However, the brand’s formulation of hyaluronic serums seems to be the only one that supports my skin’s hydration levels. Other brands’ versions leave my skin drier. It feels worth the heavy price tag for me.
