I rolled past a gas station in a different part of town. I remarked the higher that expected price and attributed to that area. And then there was another and another, and then I realized what was going on. The recent strikes on Iran were having an effect at the pump.

There are more serious issues when it comes to this recent escalation in the conflict. Many of them heartbreaking and terrifying. I’ll make space to feel that, but there is this bit here. As a business owner, you can’t afford to be uninformed. You can’t turn a blind eye to world events.

While there is a temptation to bury your head to find something else to think about, these things affect you, too. Even if not for the concern for humans across the world, you should care because it will impact your business. It will impact your trading partners. It will impact your shipping companies. It will impact the people you hope to sell to.  You literally can’t afford not to care.
