Equinox Hotel in New York City is by far my favorite hotel. Now, the brand is branching out with a property coming to Amaala in 2026. I never planned to visit Saudi Arabia before, but now I’m intrigued. Right now, the site is only set up for notification sign-ups. I am going to pop in with some of my thoughts on what this new property will be like.
Obviously they are going to have a state of the art gym, some health conscious and indulgent dining. That will be the same between the two locations. However, I think Amaala will be more resort like. I would expect their spa to be more expansive. Perhaps because it won’t be in the middle of the big city, there will be even more on site for entertainment. I don’t know much about Saudi Arabian hospitality culture, but I imagine that will be included for sure.
I sometimes plan trips just to experience a hotel property, and then go on to explore the city. I wonder, is this grand opening worth a trip for me?
