I got an ad that talked about how Tesla’s Manifested AI is going to change the financial markets. While many analysts forecast that Tesla won’t come back from the sales slump, the two speakers spoke about this new thing.
And then I did a web search.
It all seemed suspicious to me. My alarm bells went off, and I was able to easily find out that this was likely just a scam video trying to get clicks. Literally no site, except the one mentioned in the video, referenced any of this. Even the banking institutions they allegedly pulled as sources wrote nothing. And to be honest, the video seems like it was made through generative AI. Let’s be real here. The “they” who doesn’t want you to know about this doesn’t exist, because this thing doesn’t exist. This is just an idea created by an organization trying to scam the vulnerable.
But I would imagine that not everyone is going to be so skeptical. I imagine that not everyone is going to do their due diligence. They might just be desperate for a new financial opportunity and click.
In this new age of technology, you can’t be so naive. While you may not be able to spot an AI ad, you do know when something seems too good to be true. Approach all of the ads you see with a healthy does of skepticism. Remember to do your own research and check for other options.
Also, as a pro tip, pretty much any ad that uses the phrase “they don’t want you to know” is probably a scam. I don’t have the data to back that up just yet, but hold on to that tip.
Here is some not scammy AI for you. I asked the site to generate an image with the prompt “create any picture.” Enjoy.
