Tomorrow is a busy day

Tomorrow I’m going to start cooking my meals at home, instead of constantly getting takeout. I’m also going to start going to the gym. I’m going to start the productivity challenge. And I’m going to finally get around to tackling my to-do list. I’ve got a lot of stuff planned for tomorrow. I always do.

Today, as I settled onto the couch with a pizza and soda and an unremarkable YouTube video, I figured I could once again save all those tasks for tomorrow. I’m comfortable now. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Everything is always going to be tomorrow. But what if I started today? After all, tomorrow’s schedule is jampacked, full of all of my good intentions. What if I did just one thing? What if I just did one task, instead of saving it for that time that never comes?

I’m starting now. I’m starting small, and ill-prepared, and imperfectly. Maybe I can do just this one thing instead of pushing it off again. Tomorrow is already busy as it is; I can do this one task today.
