Show not tell

Have you ever meant one those people who talks a big game, someone who tells you all about their skill sets and accomplishments, and keeps telling you about them? In all your observations, you came to own conclusions of who he was, regardless of what he said. As a quick PSA, when it comes to your brand, make sure you’re not like that guy.

You can say all that you want about your brand, show your awards, and highlight reviews from famous people. Ultimately though, your customers will make the final assessment of who they think you are. You can’t just talk about it; you have to show it. Your actions and ultimately your products tell the story beyond the words you put out. If you want your customers to believe you’re an amazing company, you have to show them that you are an amazing company through and through in every possible touch point you have with them.

Who do you want your customers to say that you are? And how will you show them, rather than tell them?
