A Wren Says

I went in to the gym to get a quick workout in. Really, I just wanted to add some insights about the gym amenities to my review of Villa Copenhagen. Unfortunately, there were other people in there so I didn’t feel comfortable taking pictures. I haphazardly pulled together an idea of a workout . After seeing me bounce between equipment, a woman asked me how to use one of them. I helped her and then we realized, that there in Denmark we were both Americans. A little bit of home so far away.

Leaving the elevator to head to breakfast, I came across her again. She invited me to sit with her and her family. I accepted and ate my meal with joyful conversation. Before that conversation in the gym, I chatted with the couple at dinner and the two friends at Pilates. I went to Denmark, my first solo big trip. But as luck would have it, and because I was open to it, I found companions along the way.  As I found, traveling alone doesn’t have to be lonely.
