“Wait, is that Jane Goodall? In a diamond ad?” I remembered her from all those videos in the past. Her living amongst and studying the gorillas. Seeing her promoting Brilliant Earth instantly made me go to the website. Well, obviously it is the most sustainable and greenest choice. Without really having to speak about it, her presence communicated everything the brand wanted to say about sustainability. Her credibility transferred to them. That is the power of choosing the right spokesperson.
This collection and collaboration helps Brilliant Earth continue to build an image of the sustainable, planet first choice By partnering with Jane Goodall, whose work crosses over similar countries and focuses on environmental protection, that image continues to be strengthened. Beyond the spokesperson, each decision highlights that message. The Jane Goodall collaboration features jewelry made from recycled gold and lab grown diamonds. The designs take inspiration from banana leaves in Tanzania. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Jane Goodall Foundation. All of that places the focus on the brands care not only for environmental impact but specifically countries that have been exploited for their precious metals.
Perhaps, I am harping on here, but I don’t know if I have ever been so strongly persuaded by the celebrity spokesperson. Sometimes, you just want a famous person so that people will notice. Really, you want the right person who will put the attention exactly where you want it. This Jane Goodall collection was an excellent example of just that.
