Orsa, a must stop coffee house in Copenhagen

Given I was staying at the Coco Hotel, Orsa was a given stop for me. In contrast to quaint hotel I was staying at this, the coffee shop across the street was anything but. It had edge.

The place was lively and full of people chatting away at each of the tables and booths. The window provided a full view of all the happenings on the busy street. The walls displayed t-shirts, art, and collab jackets that I wished I had considered buying. Music blasting in there was not soft jazz and not today’s hits. It was clearly curated by someone who takes their music seriously and scours the music scene. They also made it very clear they didn’t want any laptops in sight.

The latte I ordered was delicious, even though I am confident there wasn’t any added sugar. I also ordered a banana bread slice that came with a dollop of espresso butter. I had no idea that such a thing existed, and I never want to back to that time. More espresso butter for me please. When I returned, with a travel buddy, I indulged in a chocolate chip cookie and matcha latte. Both met the high expectations set on my previous trip.

If you find yourself in Copenhagen, eager to people watch, listen to good music, and indulge in quality coffee, head over to Orsa.
