A Wren Says

A pair of polka dotted rain boots. Patent black, with white dots. I was so excited when I opened the gift to reveal what would become my superpower. I could finally step out without fear of wet socks or soggy shoes. I walk differently in the rain with waterproof shoes on my feet. I walk so much more confidently with each step, unfazed by anything before me, especially the deceptively deep puddles.

If only I could pull on a metaphorical rain boot to cover all of me, something that could allow me to walk just as confidently into all of life’s situations, completely undeterred. But of course, there is no item that I can put on that will achieve that. That sort of armor needs to come from within.

I like to write about luxury fashion, high-end beauty products, and premium travel. As much as I enjoy these topics and relish the experiences that I have, they have their limits. No matter how expensive the creams, clothes, or hotels, those things are not what improve will improve me from the inside out or shield me from trouble.

Of course, that is nothing you didn’t already know, but I want to make the point clear here on this blog. Amidst what could be considered shallow posts on marketing and nice things, there is something more. Yes, there is the analysis of the marketing used, but more importantly there will frequently be deeper reflections on life and the pursuit of personal growth. I hope you will join me for it all.
