Luxury products are of the highest quality. Well, people assume luxury products are of the highest quality. Perceived product quality gets at how people would rank the quality of the product. It is more about what people think than what a company believes to be true. There are seven dimensions of perceived product quality that you can consider:
Performance: how well does the product work? How well does it achieve the aim it was designed for?
Features: What additional elements complement basic functions?
Conformance with specifications- Is the product free from defects? Is the item flawless?

Reliability- If I buy the exact same product again, will it work the same as before? How consistent are things from item to item?
Durability- How long will the product last? How many uses will I get?
Serviceability- How easy is it to fix the item?
Fit and finish- Does it look good?
Think about your luxury brands. Can you recognize these elements in the products you’ve seen or owned? Are there some brands that you have thought were not worth the price tag? Were they missing some of these elements? As you consider what luxury means to you, think about how you would answer these questions when it comes to some of the products out there.
