Are the Peace Out Acne Dots right for you? (based on my quick review)

While I had multiple careers in mind as a child, the one thing I wanted to be in my future profession was confident. I would have a power pink blazer, stand in front of the board room, and own the meeting. Now as an adult, I can say I still have a lot of work to do to get that dream level of confidence. Step 1 may be buying that blazer of my dreams. And then the next would be making sure I am putting my best face forward. You know what gets in the way of that? Acne.

I decided to give the Peace Out Acne dots a try. I had very high hopes for them. The main hope would be that they would perform magic and in just in the span of a night eliminate any trace of the breakout. I picked it up from Sephora.

Stickers for your face! With concentrated salicyclic acid and retinol to quickly reduce pimples

At the time, I had a pimple that I could tell was on its way to trying to ruin my day. When I got home that night, I washed my face and put the sticker on before bed. The next morning, I didn’t notice much of a difference. It certainly didn’t disappear.

Later I would try the dots again in two separate locations. Each breakout responded differently. One did dry up and calm down. The other spot? Sigh. I had put on moisturizer first, and the dot didn’t stick. No matter how hard I tried it would not adhere. It was a waste because the sticker just fell off. I tried again the next morning. It stayed on, and I just wore it for 6 hours throughout the day. There was some improvement. Not ground breaking, but I think I detected something. The stickers hang on for dear life once you get them on. So if you choose to still wear masks out and about, this can be helpful to protect those spots from irritation.

Would I recommend? I think it depends on how you like to go about your skincare routine and your acne type. If you are able put the sticker directly on to freshly cleansed skin, this will be great. If you feel the need to do your moisturizer and serum first, you would do better with a spot treatment. If you only deal with occasional breakouts and are willing to wait until the pimple has fully surfaced, try this product. However, if you need something that deals with early stage acne or you need to treat a large area of your face, you should look for a different solution.

Personally, I still have another pack on hand in case I have emergency acne that emerges, but I think liquid or cream spot treatments will better fit my routine.
