Phluid Project Humanity: A quick fragrance review

Jumping right into the review. My first sniff of Phluid Project’s Humanity leaned heavy on the coconut and ginger in that order. Maybe there is something else. I sprayed it on at 10 AM. Taking transit at 11AM could still smell it through my mask. I hope no one was bothered. I shook it up that time and sprayed multiple times on each pulse point on well moisturized skin. I do not suggest you spray this on clothes. It seems heavily oil based.

The Phluid Project
Humanity Eau de Parfum

$55 for 50 mL

Key Notes: Jasmine Petals, Coconut, Sandalwood

The sample I have was biphasic, so you’re supposed to shake it up. I think this is nice symbolism, since the brand is all about shaking up notions of the gender binary. But maybe that should have been left for a marketing activation, because I continuously forgot to shake before spraying. I believe new batches are no longer like this, based on the descriptions provided now. But please correct me if I’m wrong.

I found it to be playful and sweet. Personally, I wouldn’t wear it to work again. Actually, I probably wouldn’t personally wear it again. I don’t want to smell edible so literally. Like, a little vanilla, perhaps a chocolate note, but not so sweet.

Even thought this wasn’t my favorite, you should still give it a try. Perhaps the things I don’t like are precisely what you’re looking for. If you do try it, let me know what you think.
