Let’s talk about new product releases. Martin Margiela have released Scentsorium. After years of their Replica line, the brand have added this fragrance version of haute couture. It is a line of 6 scents, reimagining what you might expect.

Chapter 3: Anquish and Awe is the one that I’m most intrigued by. It’s a rose and leather scent described as a dark floral. That sounds so incredibly like what I’m into right now.

Here are all the fragrance sin the line

• Chapter 1: Blaze of Stillness – An ambery floral with orange blossom and velvety suede.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Bergamot, neroli
    • Heart: Fig, orange blossom
    • Base: Indonesian Patchouli, Madagascar vanilla absolute, suede ccord
• Chapter 2: Silent Fury – The spicy amber captured with cardamom and burning tobacco.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Cardamom
    • Heart: Tobacco
    • Base: Cedarwood, cistus absolute
• Chapter 3: Anguish & Awe – A noir floral reinterpreting the tension of rose and leather.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Bergamot
    • Heart: Geranium, rose
    • Base: Cedarwood, leather
• Chapter 4: Tender Defiance – A commanding woody amber with a rare licorice and fir balsam.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Anise Oil
    • Heart: Fir balsam, licorice
    • Base: Amber
• Chapter 5: Delight in Despair – A bittersweet fougere musky parfum with saffron milk and oud.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Saffron milk accord
    • Heart: Patchouli, cedarwood, iris
    • Base: Musks, oud
• Chapter 6: Fit of Folly – A sophisticated mineral musky perfume citrus.
  • Notes:
    • Top: Calabrian bergamot

    • Base: Patchouli, amber, woods, vetiver

The fragrances are available now, only at Maison Margiela stores and through their website. Hopefully, they’ll release them to other retailers in the future. And if they do, I hope to get a smell and let you know what I think.
