Alix Earle is inviting you to be a part of her skincare journey

Imagine, you’re a mega influencer. Your job is to literally take and post pictures of yourself all the time. And yet, you’re not happy with your face. You’re experiencing yet another cystic acne breakout that is wreaking havoc. But you’re determined to not let this get you down. You share your experiences with your followers and let them know, “Acne is Normal.” It’s time for the next step. Definitely a skincare line.

Forgive my cynicism, but Alix Earle has joined the ever growing list of celebrities and social media influencers to start her own skincare brand. At least this one has an angle. It is specific to the needs of acne prone skin. Owing to her own journey and what she’s needed from her products, she’s designed a line that includes active yet gentle ingredients. One superstar ingredient is Mandelic Acid, chosen because it tends to be less irritating that other AHAs and thus better for sensitive, acne prone skin.

The brand will officially launch on March 31 with 4 products:

I will likely not try this line. It’s also not for me. My review of the product would tell you nothing about the claims, beyond potentially it’s suitability for the sensitive areas of my skin. Although, I would be willing to try the cleansing balm if it were ever sent my way.

If you’ve been struggling with acne and are an Alix Earle fan, this could be a good line for you to try. But otherwise, you might want to wait for reviews or try the Mandelic Acid products already on the market.
