Customers, am I right?

“This is poor customer service. Where is your manager?” The guest was unhappy with the employee’s polite attempts to explain store policy. Because she didn’t meet the customer’s exact demands, it was the wrong thing to do. Even though she was doing her job as trained, that customer could then take to social to give a scathing review. Others who don’t like their service are quick to pull out their phones to start recording the encounter. Instead of making life easier, technology is making life much more difficult for some who work in retail. How frustrating?

At this point in human history, I think we can admit that the customer is not always right. Sometimes, businesses need to let go of bad customers so that they can keep and support good employees.
