SXSW is just around the corner. Chances are that if you happened upon this blog, you either planning to attend or just have questions about the event. SXSW is a major event held annually in Austin, Texas. Music and film are massive parts of the schedule. There is also a lot of tech. But what if that’s not your interest? Is SXSW right for you? I would say that depends.

When I went, it was originally to engage with the fashion and beauty tracks. But as I started looking through the schedule, I found myself heading in for talks on marketing, art, wellness, and sport. I visited the French, British, and Irish houses for some international flair. There is a plethora of panels and experiences on varying topics. Even you yourself could propose a topic for a session through the PanelPicker program. And yes, I did watch a couple of movie premieres and go get free giveaways, too. There was so much to experience on a scale I hadn’t fully expected.
More than just for lovers of music, film, and tech, I would say that SXSW is for the curious.
If you’ve been looking at SXSW, interested in what’s going on, and wondering if you should attend, then I think you have your answer. If you are open to learning something new amidst thousands who feel the same, think of attending the next event. And by the way, they always have an early bird deal just after the conference concludes. Might as well save some money while you’re at it.
