It’s winter. It’s cold, and it’s flu season. The combo of dry weather and extra hand washing is deeply affecting my hands. I am doing my best to turn that around by taking more care of my cuticles and skin. To do that I am calling on the Restore Healing Balm from Doctor Rogers.
I picked up this luxury balm from Credo Beauty in New York and immediately added it to my hand bag as a hand cream. However, I like it best as a cuticle treatment. I dab a bit on each nail, do a small squiggle on the backs of my hands, and then massage it in. It’s pretty thick, thicker than Vaseline, so the small amount works well for me without my hands feeling too greasy. Right now, the Restore Healing Balm is coming in clutch. And it’s perfect for clutches.
The thin tube of the half ounce version makes it slip easily into bags, including the tiny bags that are allowed in for concerts. Without taking up too much space, this castor oil based product can be applied to restore both dry hands and lips on the go.

$24 for .5 oz
Healing balm with three simple ingredients to heal irritated or dry skin
Doctor Rogers says that it is perfect to help soothe irritated skin. They add it in as the last step of a nighttime skincare routine for extra dry skin. I have not yet tried using it on my face, but that little note is leading me to look more into the brand. As this winter gets colder and harsher, I will need something to protect and heal my skin. I have got my eye on the starter kit as of getting a deeper introduction to their products.
I like this product, but I am fully aware that $24 for a thin tube feels exorbitant, when you could easily buy Vaseline or Aquaphor from the drug store for much less. And if that is your concern, then definitely don’t buy it. But if you are looking for deeper healing of your skin, instead of just covering it with a thick protective barrier, then this is the product for you. Or it’s the product for me anyway. I have more cuticle oils to try, but I may look into replacing this once it goes empty. Luckily, the brand sells a three pack that equates to $4 off per tube. That shapes out to a little money saved and a balm for home, office, and handbag. For healthy cuticles, that seems like a good deal for me.
