From my youth, I have always wanted to visit Paris. I was into fashion after all. I of course needed to head to fashion capital of the world at some point, as an almost completion of the mission. However now, my view has expanded. Fashion is global. Of course, New York is dominant on the scene. Milan and London host major fashion weeks. And let’s not forget Copenhagen. The more I learn about the fashion industry, the longer my dream fashion itinerary gets. In a dream future, I would spend August through October hopping in between the cities to attend their fashion weeks. But then of course, it’s even bigger than that.
I would need to go to India and Ghana to learn more about the dye techniques. I would have to head to China to learn about fabrics. Of course, Morocco to learn more about leathers and weaving. And there’s so much more, including trends and street culture here across the United States. I could spend a lifetime deeply exploring the world to learn more about clothing and culture.
While I still want to go to Paris, I know that fashion doesn’t end there. Everywhere I travel has something to teach me. I hope to get to know more of it with every trip I take.
