“Are you okay if we go somewhere a little further out? It’s my favorite coffee shop.” With that kind of Chicago local seal of approval, I couldn’t refuse. I went with my friend to take the voyage to Bueno Days. It was well worth the journey. This Little Village establishment pairs an homage to Mexican flavors and avant garde presentation. As I looked at the menu, I was intrigued by the idea of an elote flavored drink, but the child in me ultimately settled on cotton candy.

The Entre Nubes
This drink was an interactive experience. A pink cotton candy cloud perched on top of my flavored milk. Using a strainer, I rained the espresso down to get the final product. Maybe it seems gimmicky, but at least it was delicious. I was so glad someone else thought to combine cotton candy with coffee. What a treat.

My biggest regret is not getting a pastry to try, or making the journey back to taste more of the menu. If I were staying in Chicago, no matter which part of the city I’d be based, I’d make sure to make a trip to this lovely coffee shop yet again.
