The good girls seem to wear painfully high heels and smell very sweet, or at least that is what I gather from Carolina Hererra and its Good Girl line of fragrances. This new flanker to the line, Very Good Girl Elixir, is no exception. Previously, I reviewed Very Good Girl (not a fan) and Very Good Girl Glam (loved it). Now, I’ve been wearing this over the past few days to gather get my full thoughts on this edition.
To prep to write this post, I sprayed this on my wrist and the remember the smell. It’s had a chance to sit for roughly an hour. I’m smelling it now and am going to guess the notes before checking the site. Rose, cherry, vanilla. But maybe a little smoke. Perhaps an ambery note?

Very Good Girl Elixir eau de parfum

While I was wearing this fragrance, I was unsure about it. I like the smell that lingers on my clothing, but I don’t know if I like how it projects off of me. Do I like it on my skin? Do others? I walked into the room after just spraying it on myself. “I’m trying a new fragrance, but I regret a bit now.” No response. Maybe it was fine. Maybe other don’t hate the smell.
Maybe my uncertainty comes from not knowing how it fits into my life. It doesn’t feel like a light, running errands kind of scent. It doesn’t seem to vibe with my work environment. It’s much more an evening scent, more alluring. That just isn’t my life right now. But perhaps if I really liked it, that wouldn’t matter. It’s not a bad scent. It has good longevity. It just isn’t me. But maybe it’s for you.
If you like cherry and almonds, and are looking for a sweet strong feminine scent, this might be the one for you. Bonus points if you love a high heel.
I still haven’t tried the original Good Girl. I think that should be my next stop with the brand. But then again, the limited edition Good Girl Midnight definitely has my attention.
