When I booked my stay at the Langham Hotel in New York City, I did it through American Express. That gave me daily breakfasts, a credit to be used for dining, and a whole lot of excuses to try the food. Multiple mornings, I started breakfasts in their dining room.
On one side of the menu, they showed the items that were included in the breakfast package. On the other side were add-on. The avocado toast, parfait, and frittata were all good. The service was good. None of them ground breaking.
My view from where I was seated was of a building across the street, but at least I had a pretty vase of fake flowers on my table.

The bathroom however, was beautiful. In a departure from the rooms, they stocked this place with products from Molton Brown. It seems there was more intentionality in decorating the bathroom than the guest rooms.

I also tried room service or in-room dining. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Meh, I wish it was more flavorful. The Langham Burger, just as good as it was in Boston.

The fruit salad with honey yogurt and a croissant. This made me smile. It was literally just cut fruit on a plate with yogurt. But because it was beautiful, and because I never had yellow kiwi before, it was my favorite.

I wish I had made time to try the restaurant on for lunch and/or dinner. I also kind of wish I wasn’t so focused on having a healthy start to my day and could have had more creative breakfast options. But from my experience as it was, the food was good, just not exceptional.
