It was a nice summer day. I wanted to smell pretty. I decided to spray on Valaya from Parfums de Marly. As soon as I smelled it on my skin, I thought, “I regret this.” The while floral scent felt more overpowering than I was hoping for. I feared what others close to me all day would think of the smell. Would it overpower? Would it smell just odd? But as the scent mellowed out, it became a beautiful soft musk. It was a skin scent in the best way possible for me.
Personally, I think that the way that I will continue to wear this fragrance is by spraying it on an giving it time to really develop and settle on my skin before I head out. I don’t recommend that for you.
If you were interested in buying this, test it out in store or using a sample first. Make sure that you like how it smells and performs in the first hour and what it smells like on you throughout the day.
