One of my least favorite activities is taking pictures of myself. And yet, there I was, tasked with having headshots taken. As I got ready that morning, I knew exactly the scent I should try: Bombshell by Daniel’s Truth. The name alone called to mind the greatest supermodels and how well they would command the camera.
Five hours after applying this fragrance oil, I could smell the aldehydic, slightly citrus notes. I can’t say I would have ever thought of this profile for a fragrance of this name. It is certainly not the sultry profile I would have expected. It’s fresher and cleaner than what are often referred to as maneater fragrances by the influencer crowds.
I had a great photo session. I leaned into being myself, instead of trying to embody some random archetype of beauty. But maybe that is what makes someone a bombshell. Beautiful simplicity. A natural allure. Inviting demeanor.
