This masculine scent from Dolce and Gabanna surprised me

I received a sample of Dolce and Gabbana Devotion for Men. I don’t review nearly enough men’s fragrances. I figured I would give it a little sniff. And then that turned into, I want that on me.

There was something about it that didn’t scream overly masculine, as if I was trying hard to be subversive as a woman with my scent choice. The scent profile, that includes coffee, lemon, and patchouli, made it the perfect mix to go with my coffeehouse sessions, those times when I come out smelling strongly of stale java.

Truth be told, I am still working to make my nose more sophisticated to recognize different notes. When I smell this blend, the coffee doesn’t stand out as instantly recognizable to me. However I can say that it just has scent that I kept wanting to smell. Maybe when those notes come together, they create a whole that is stronger the sum of its parts.

Because I am still trying to understand this fragrance, I don’t really know who to recommend this to or for what occasions. All I know is that there is something about it that I as a woman really like wearing. No one seemed to notice it when I was out and about, but I would continue to spray it for those days where I am doing focused work and getting things done.

If you are looking for a subtle coffee scent that is rounded out by some freshness, be sure to smell Dolce & Gabanna Devotion for Men.
