I am a sucker for a new release. All said, when Summer Fridays released their Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist, I waited patiently until I confidently could go and buy it and tell myself it wasn’t really an impulse buy. Now I that I’ve had it for quite some time, I’ll let you know my thoughts and how I’ve been using it.
Let’s start with the packaging. I feel it important to start there, because some sprays hit me like a water gun. I’m happy to inform you that this mist comes out superfine and is well distributed. I’m able to casually spray my face (eyes closed, of course) and hit every area, without having to go back and rub it in.

Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist
$21 for 50 mL
A soothing spray with glycerin, ceramides, and ectoin to give you a hydration boost throughout the day
Perhaps the most important part is the product inside. I will say that it provides me with the hydrating boost I’ve been looking for. No stinging or irritation, but also not just water that will evaporate away from my skin quickly. And possibly because there is no strong scent or heavy oils, I feel like I can breathe easy after spraying. With other products, I had to be serious about holding my breath while using it, and I’ve even felt like I could still taste the product in the air. Not a pleasant experience for me.
Even though it is called a Jet Lag Spray, I still haven’t had the confidence to spray it midflight. However, I have traveled with it. At 1.7 oz, it easily fits into a toiletry bag for airport screening. The cap clips down satisfyingly and is not easily knocked off. I’ve traveled with this a few times and didn’t have to worry about it leaking at all, even in pressurized cabins.
On one of my trips with this product, I took it to Austin in March, only to find I hadn’t packed an evening moisturizer. I found that fully misting my face with this spray, after washing my face, let me go to sleep and wake up with sufficiently hydrated skin. On a couple of nights, I topped it off with an oil to ensure I locked it all in.
Then while in the airport, I offered the spray to a coworker as an easy way to hydrate her skin without having to worry about properly cleansing or sanitizing her hands first. Truthfully, I have gotten to the point where I leave a bottle at work or bring it along in my purse, just for a moisture boost throughout the day. It’s just been such an easy and effective reach for me.
Clearly, I like this product, so much so that I had to fight the urge to pick up multiple bottles during the recent Sephora sale, even though I haven’t run out yet. Even though I haven’t yet tried it during the harsher winter months, I think this is a product that I can continue to use as a nice addition to my skincare routine.
If you are looking for a new facial mist to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day, give the Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist by Summer Fridays a try.
