I am fairly certain that the last time I tried a fragrance from Clean Reserve was back in my teenage years. But this week I tried Radiant Nectar, their slightly fruity and definitely musky release.
Today, as I sit and smell the fragrance instead of rushing off immediately after spraying it, I notice those fruity notes come forward. I can’t recognize any fruit in particular by scent, but I imagine there must be a stone fruit of some sort, maybe a peach, mixed with rose. (I am wrong. It’s pear and zero rose. That’s amber I’m smelling. I need to go back to fragrance training.) The musky notes do not come forward on the first spray. Now in hour two, the muskiness is starting to come forward. At the end of the day, as the fragrance sits closer to skin, I notice both elements subtly. It’s like a skin scent with slight sweetness.

$110 for 100 mL
Notes:
Top: Ambrette Seeds, Pear Nectar
Middle: Orris Butter, Carrot Seeds, Tobacco Flower
Base : White Cedarwood, Ambroxan, Liquid Musk
My experience with “clean fragrances” as category has been that they fade within 5-6 hours. I am surprised by how this fragrance has lasted on my skin. I sprayed this on at roughly 9 AM. But when I returned in the evening, I could still smell it on my skin. I was surprised.
No one commented on my fragrance. But truthfully, I have a habit of sitting in a coffee shop prior to work collecting all those smells as well. No one else may have noticed or said anything about this fragrance, but I have noticed it on myself throughout the day.
I have to admit. I wasn’t sure about this one when I first sprayed it. Now I feel more comfortable with it. It has sweetness without the harsh artificial notes like many other fragrances I’ve tried. I’m not sure I’m at “full bottle worthy” level of liking this fragrance, but I do think it’s time I give this brand a deeper look.
If you are interested in a sweet musky fragrance with “clean” ingredients, try Radiant Nectar by Clean Reserve.
