Hunt for the magic planner

I’ve spent hours searching for the perfect agenda for me, just a planner that didn’t force me to schedule my day in a particular way, or shout out inspirational quotes, or assault me with stickers. I finally settled on one, only to find it didn’t magically organize my life for me. Such a waste of time.

I’m learning now, as my days get more hectic, I need to start actually using my planner. I need to take the time to decide how I want my day to go, instead of letting happenstance decide for me. If I could take time each day or evening to create a schedule for myself that would change my life for the better. And yet, so many pages of that planner are sitting there blank.

More and more, I am starting to realize that I need structure to be successful. And I have to be the one to build to actively build that structure for myself. There will be no magic tool that will do it for me. The best planner is still just a bunch of paper bound together. It’s me who has the magic to plan out and create the best life I can.

(By the way, the Moleskine classic large version is the one that I am using right now. But if you have any suggestions on other options, please leave it in the comments.)
