Everybody, Everywhere want to do something about the biggest environmental problem in the fashion industry: waste. Okay more specifically, these are two brands tackling the problem in their own ways.
Everybody.World was founded by Iris Alonzo and Caroline Crespo. After years in the fashion industry, they branched out on their own with a clear vision. They wanted to do things a different way. They figured out how to take cotton waste (the bits that are typically thrown out by cotton producers) and spin it into new textiles. It is the basis of their Trash Tee.
Everywhere Apparel goes a different way. They divert cotton clothes from landfills to create new products. Your old cotton shirt gets processed and respun into threads. Then, each item you buy from them is equipped with a QR code that helps you ship the garment back, once you’re done with it. And then it re-enters the cycle to become another new garment, all overagain. True circularity. And they even sell items at wholesale and can customize them with prints or embroidery for your own business.
If you were ever wondering if recycling your clothes really makes a difference, here are two brands trying to make sure it truly does.
