Coconut Skin by Phlur has been living in my gym bag. The body spray seems like the appropriate staple to get me ready to face the day after my studio classes.
Even though there is very clearly coconut in the name, to me this smells more of rich caramel with a floral edge and a touch of woodiness. I don’t really notice the coconut at all. In addition to being a solid part of my post workout routine, it seems like the perfect coverup to all the smells I’ve been absorbing when I don’t want the world to know that I was sitting for hours in a coffee shop working on my posts.

$25 for 3 fl oz
Notes:
Top: Palm leaf, caramel gelato, coconut
Mid: Frangipani, tiare blossom, jasmine absolute, sambac
Base: Sandalwood, salted amber
I haven’t paid attention to how long it lasts on my skin, nor has anyone ever taken note and told me their thoughts on my scent. So I can’t tell you too much about projection beyond this: I find it a bit overwhelming on first spray. There’s something about body sprays for me. It seems like they get into the air faster and travel far up my nose. This is not the type of spray that you can surreptitiously mist yourself without everyone in the room knowing you just sprayed something.
An important note, especially if you are considering keeping this in your gym bag, too. This fragrance is alcohol based. I find that after I have gone hard in my workout, and my skin is still flush, this stings a bit. I find I need to be mindful of that. Avoid spraying areas that got really sweaty until you’ve cooled down.
If you are looking for more body spray options, give this one a try. This is staple that I’m working through, but I am seriously considering picking up Vanilla Cream by Phlur in the Sephora sale and testing that one out too. And I hate that I just discovered they released Rose Whip. Guess I will have to pick that up, too.
