I tried three skincare products from Chanel. They were just testers, so really this is just a first impressions post. Spoilers: I wasn’t impressed. At the time of trial, my major skin concern was dryness. Ergo, that’s what I was focusing on. And mind you, I was also testing this in late fall and winter. Here’s what I tried:
- Sublimage La Crème Texture Suprême $475 for 1.7 oz: While this has claims for anti-aging benefits, none of that would be seen in just three days. However, I can say that my skin didn’t feel the moisture that brand claimed I should see on day one. Even when I paired it with the other products.
- Hydrabeauty Micro Serum $152 for 1.7 oz: Again, not moisturizing enough for me. I wanted it to make my skin feel juicy. It didn’t do that. This is definitely a product, if it works for you, that you would need to layer underneath a moisturizer and/or additional serum.
- Hydra Beauty Micro Liquid Essence $104 for 5 oz: My skin didn’t like this at all. The areas around my nose and parts of my cheeks stung. So, clearly can’t give you much of a review since I didn’t keep using it.
I don’t have high hopes for these products after my initial first impressions. For the price, I was expecting elite levels of hydration. Perhaps if you skin likes products with glycerine or if you are closer to normal than dry, these might be the luxurious skincare products for you. I didn’t like these products, but I am not ready to write off Chanel Beauty completely. After all, their sunscreen keeps my skin hydrated all day. Maybe, something else from the line will work better for me.
