I really like Biokiss. However…

At the end of my facial, the aesthetician concluded with a lip treatment. After an exfoliant, she topped my lips with Biokiss from Biologique Recherche. I loved the way my lips felt. It was smooth, not at all sticky. I asked about the product when I went to pay for my services. Then I was hit with the price: $68. I decided maybe not and went on with my day.

Biokiss $68 for 15mL

And then I noticed that my lips continued to be smooth and hydrated well into the evening of the next day. And I promise you, I didn’t put anything else on top of it. I ate. I drank. And yet still, my lips were smooth and soft, not at all the dryness I deserve for failing to get drink water all day. When I returned home from my trip, I wondered if I had made the wrong decision. Maybe it really was worth the $68 and the final answer to my search for the perfect lip balm for me.

Of course, if you have seen many of my other reviews, you’ll note that my problem isn’t per se with the price point. I have no problem with luxury skincare as a whole But for some reason, I hesitated to test it out, because that seemed to be too much for a lip balm. But is it too much if it works? Is it too much if you get twice the benefits of a product half the price? That is something I’m still asking myself now as winter continues to do a number on me.

Even though I am still mulling over the merits of making a purchase, I would suggest you try the lip balm and the brand if you’re curious.
