First impression: The Skin Reset Serum by Emma Lewisham

Today I am going to give you my first impression of the Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Serum. This will not be a thorough review at all, because I only used the product for two days.

Here is the first thing that I noticed. On day one I put it on after washing my face. It made my skin feel slightly tacky. I decided to wait some time before putting on moisturizer, to see how my skin reacted. And then I completely forgot to apply any going to bed with just the serum on my face. I was surprised by how hydrated my skin looked. And this is after struggling recently with the moisturizers I had been testing leaving me high and dry. The next day, I did make sure to put moisturizer on afterwards. That only boosted the result.

I am curious what my results would be after a full month of use. I am serious thinking about getting the full size to test it out. The brand claims that the main benefits is in brightening and reducing hyperpigmentation. However, the also suggest that the niacinamide and aloe will help strengthen the skin barrier. An additional ingredient, Ergothioneine, is added to reduce the possible sensitivities that come from the use of Vitamin C. Also of note, the first ingredient is aloe, not water. I don’t think I have seen that before.

At this point in my skin journey, hyperpigmentation is not my main skincare concern. I am more interested in improving hydration and texture. Perhaps this won’t be the best product for my routine. But from just a little glimpse in how my skin received it, I am already intrigued by this product and want to learn more about this brand.
