Metal Flower, by the Harmonist is the floral fragrance for me

Metal Flower by The Harmonist smells like a soft floral, at odds with the chill outside. I enjoy how bright it smells. When I first spray it, it feels rather plain, but it starts to develop more and more on me into something more delicate. There is something pretty about this fragrance, that I enjoy even as I sit here in sweats and typing away in a coffee shop. It is soft, with an almost citrus hit on there. While I’m not at all sunning myself and contemplating life in a meadow, but I enjoy the way this fragrance transports me there.

Metal Flower eau de parfum

$250 for 50 mL

Top Notes: Rosoxydes (chemical found in Bulgarian rose), Aldehydes, Orange Blossom

Heart Notes: Rose of May, Bulgarian Rose, Ylang-Ylang

Base Notes: Patchouli, White Musk

When I had my mother smell the fragrance, she said it reminded her of something from back in the day: Toujours Moi. The notes of the two are different, but maybe it is the orange blossom, musk, and the passage of time that makes them seem similar.

This is a floral fragrance for someone like me who is not big on FLORALS. The capitalization is to emphasize those fragrances that scream about their flower power. Metal Flower, instead, wraps its floral notes with metallic and cleaner notes to modernize the flowers and make them more wearable. This could be my everyday fragrance, or rather for those days when I want to be more demure.

If you like florals, or even if you don’t but are willing to give them another shot, take a chance and smell Metal Flower by The Harmonist.
