These are the hotels I’m recommending, if you’re wondering

Voting for the Travel+Leisure awards has opened. Here are four hotels I will be nominating.

  1. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

It’s only right for me to start this off with the hotel that started it all for me. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge was the first “nice” hotel I ever stayed at and gave a glimpse into what excellent service meant. I am pushing them into the competition because of their ecofriendly approach, Zenlike garden décor, and excellent on-site dining. Even if you don’t book a stay, I highly recommend you reserve at table at their restaurant, The Osprey, for gourmet farm to table cuisine.

Are you a fitness lover? Do you like luxurious things? Why not combine those two interests into one hotel stay? Equinox Hotel provides guests access to their deluxe gym and fitness classes. If the best hotel gym you will ever experience isn’t enough, they extend the health focus extends to the in-room amenities. There you’ll find a yoga mat, foam roller, and an expansive health-conscious mini bar selection. And I will add that the location, right across from The Shops at Hudson Yards, definitely adds to the appeal.

Coco Hotel is a gem of a boutique hotel in Copenhagen. The hotel is located in the Vesterbro area of the city, walking distance from many of the biggest draws without being stuck in the tourist zones.  While they don’t have many amenities in-room or onsite, they make up for that with their excellent service and partnerships with restaurants and wellness providers. I highly recommend you take advantage and visit Restaurant Cofoco while you’re there. It is very close by and boasts an excellent tasting menu.  I’m pretty sure Coco Hotel has already made its way onto previous lists, which is how I learned about it. But, hey, why not go for the repeat?

Okay, let’s end with a banger.  Gorgeous, stunning, and city landmark, with great dining. The Langham Hotel in Boston impressed me as soon as I walked into the doors. And they never let up. With the excellent guest services, fantastic dining, and expansive gym, I was left trying to figure out how and when I might book a return stay. And they thing that impressed me most? How well lit the room was. If you know, you know. It is hard to find a hotel room with the lighting you need to do anything but sleep. For that reason alone, they should rank them number 1. But of course, there is so much more to love.

Those are my choices. What have been your favorite travel experiences of the last three years? What hotels would you recommend?
