Sephoria 2024 experience: Day 2

Alright, let’s get straight to it. Here is what I experience heading to the second day of Sephoria. On Day 1, I purchased a general admission ticket. For the second day (session 4) I purchased a VIP ticket. That gave me entry into the space one hour earlier.

I got into the line shortly after 3:30. Doors opened a little after 4. I was inside by 4:15. I went to straight to the booths I noticed had the longest lines the day before: Rare Beauty. Natasha Denona, and. Charlotte Tilbury. And from there I was popping around to as many places as I could before heading in to a 5:45 Masterclass with Dr Dennis Gross. Unfortunately, they asked everyone who was preregistered to take their seats 20 minutes early. (I will give more on that in a few days.) But in total it took an hour away from visiting booths. at 5:45.

Between the two days, I had visited most of the booths, so I decided to see what was up with the Kayali line. A 45 minute wait. 45 minutes? But curiosity got the best of me, so I waited to see what was up. To be honest, not much. The line seemed to be backed up because the experience inside was a set of carnival games, which supported only 3 people at a time. And maybe took 10 minutes a person. And after all that, they only gave away samples of Vanilla 28. Larger items had to be one. I believe it was a mistake to wait in that line.

During this session and closer to the end of the night, there were no long chats at the booths. It was just beauty trick or treating. It felt like a mad rush to collect as much as possible. I have to admit I chose specifically to come for the very last session because I knew brands would likely want to offload their leftover products to avoid having a lot to pack and ship back. I was right.  If they weren’t already out of product, they were handing out multiples to everyone.

I did my best to get to as many stations as possible and attend a masterclass. Even with the 1 hour extra time, it just was not enough time. But had the lines not been as long, maybe that would have been possible.

Tomorrow, I will do a full reflection on my experience and whether or not I thought it was worth it in the end.
