I really like the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

I went back to the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. Truthfully, it was the first really nice hotel I had ever stayed at and set the standard for me as to what a hotel experience could and should be like. This time around I booked using the Mastercard Travel services to take advantage of some of its perks.

My room was upgraded, allowing me a little patio. I took the opportunity to take my laptop out, and a cup of the Nespresso, to enjoy work the best I could in an urban sanctuary.

Of course, I enjoyed being walking distance from Time Out Market and enjoyed a bowl of ramen. I even walked over to L’Appartement 4 F to buy a croissant and understand the hype. (I still don’t, but that’s a story for another day.

But the main draw of my booking was being able to take advantage of the dining credits. I took that opportunity to enjoy a dinner at The Osprey, the onsite fine dining experience. (Truthfully, I was curious after coming across then executive chef Dan Churchill’s YouTube channel.)

I enjoyed a plant forward pasta dish that made me wonder why it was I ever said I disliked mushrooms. And the Tim Tam, an ode to Churchill’s Australian heritage, was delicious. I would come back the next day for breakfast and enjoy that, too.

There is the great location, great food, and amenities, but at the end of the day it’s the staff there that makes me want to keep coming back. I hope to return, maybe try the new executive chef’s menu, and potentially try out the spa. If you hoping to find a luxury hotel experience in Brooklyn, I have to recommend 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.
