I tried the Augustinus Bader Skin Infusion on my face. This is what happened for me.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I decided to try the Augustinus Bader Skin Infusion for myself. This is a four-week bootcamp for your skin. Augustinus Bader claims it should help refine skin texture, prevent premature skin aging, and lead to more resilient skin. I was willing to see what else it would do for my skin. This is what I noticed.

Before I first started using the product, I was experiencing acne breakouts. I referred to one as a cyclops pimple, right between my eyes, but I had some along my chin as well. I also felt like my pores were more visible, and I had some splotchy redness on my face.

A week into using it I thought I would see some results, but my skin looked the same. Two weeks in, same deal. In the third week I noted “I can see my pores clearly. I am not getting any complements on my skin. The acne breakouts that I had have finally calmed down. I think the only real thing that this has done is make my skin less reactive. I noticed that the aha didn’t burn after I had been using this product for a fully week.”

I have to admit there were a couple of mornings where I didn’t get to my routine, but I put it on every single night. I think this actually helped me stay consistent and not try and skip nightly skincare because I was tired. Maybe not applying it every single morning is why my skin didn’t look different, but then again, I think my skin got what it needed.

I didn’t find that the skin infusion made my skin look different, but it acted different. During this testing period, I decided to use a product that was a chemical exfoliant. I had used it before, and my skin acted up. For some reason I decided to try it again, and my skin was fine. It wasn’t as sensitive. And to be honest, while I don’t skin more even skin in terms of pigmentation, the redness isn’t there.

The Skin Infusion

$430 for 3 15mL vials

4 week bootcamp for more resilient and renewed skin

I will say, as I was using this during the summer time, I could get away with using this alone without a moisturizer on top. If you have oily skin or are living in a humid environment, that might be the same case for you.

The final thing I will say is that I really like the packaging. There is an aluminum shell that the refills go inside of, but I’m not talking about that. That was actually a bit of a pain for me to get right. I liked the pump design that made sure every single drop got out. There was nothing left in the bottle hard to reach getting wasted. I will also add that it was a four week program, but the product definitely lasted closer to 5 weeks, depending on doing 2 or 3 pumps per use.

If you are willing to spend the money and have been looking for solutions for your sensitized skin, I would suggest you look into this product. I can’t give any feedback about skin firmness or or anti-aging benefits, but I do feel like my skin is more resilient overall. I would be interested in trying another round in the future and seeing what the result would be.
