When I used the Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Intensive Moisturizer from Laneige, I thought that maybe I need some more hydration. That is why invited the intensive version into my life. My hope was with a name like that it would grant me more intense moisture.

Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Intensive Moisturizer
$40 for 50 mL
Previously I tried their Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer. Comparing the two textures, the intensive version seems drier. That may not make sense, but the product is very thick, almost like an overcooked panna cotta. However, the cream version is more like a traditional cream (of course), which feels more moist upon touch. With the intensive, I have taken to warming it and spreading it between my fingers, before applying it to my face. it is just too thick for me to want to try and apply directly to my face and try and smooth it around.
Now it may be thick, but how does my face like? I’m on the fence, I don’t think it delivers great hydration for me and my dry skin needs. I used it on its own. I used it as a layer over the cream skin toner. In both cases, I didn’t awaken with plump, and dewy skin (which is my dream as someone with dry skin.) But at least it is somewhat better for me than the cream version.
My favorite part of the product is the packaging. It is so satisfying when the lid clicks into place. I also like that it doesn’t contain any actives. That really helps me when I’m trying to see the effectiveness of other skincare treatments.
I’m not going to exactly recommend this product as great at boosting the hydration f very dry skin. But if you already have a routine with serums you love and just need a moisturizer as a topper, this might be a good option.
